Cara Studio is an architecture and interior design practice based in Marbella, shaped by the complementary perspectives of its Mexican founders, Juan Carlos Esquivias Junco and Michelle Majul Dieter.
Our story began along different paths, connected by our Mexican roots and a shared way of seeing beauty. Juan Carlos has spent years designing and building in Marbella, developing a deep understanding of materials, craftsmanship and the details that bring an idea to life. Michelle’s arrival in 2022 brought a fresh creative perspective, with a curiosity for new forms of expression and the possibilities of technology.
Together, we bring intuition into conversation with experience. Ideas take shape through sketches, materials and digital exploration, then evolve through the care and precision of making. Each perspective enriches the other, from the first thought to the smallest finishing detail.
Our heritage informs our relationship with colour, texture and craft, while life in the Mediterranean shapes our sensitivity to light and the rhythm of everyday living. These influences find their own expression in every project, guided by the people who will make it their own.
